When formulating a mission statement for Little Friends, one main idea came to mind: The Whole Child. Being a mom and teacher for over 15 years has given me some experience and knowledge when it comes to recognizing that every child learns differently. Through visual, aural, verbal, physical, and even spiritual learning, children are tapping into senses of every kind. Little Friends Preschool does just that!
I love to give parents tours of our sweet school. As soon as they walk through the door, they are welcomed by a team of amazing teachers. As I begin to talk about all of the extra-curricular activities we do, their faces light up. Every day the children get some type of resource built into the curriculum. From music, PE, chapel, garden, and even library, the children are fully engaged in a broad selection of hands-on learning.
Our school philosophy is about being a preschool committed to partnering with parents and guardians to help develop curiosity, flexibility, and exploration in every child. We are strong believers in learning through play. We encourage collaboration in our community with one another as we cherish and help with development during this critical time in the life of the children. Our heart is in this community and the families that reside in it. We cherish and take pride in having families put their trust in us as we take part in this chapter of their child’s life, as well as their own.
I invite you to pray for our team. Pray for these precious families and for continual growth in our preschool. If you ever need a laugh or a simple smile to brighten up your day, head on over! These sweet kids are full of child-like faith and joy, and their laughter is contagious.
