Be Our Guest
Above all, as our guest at Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church, we hope that you feel a sense of God's presence, power, and peace among our faith community. We understand the work of God to be multifaceted as we gather for both worship and service throughout our community. As well, we are very intentional about creating an atmosphere of warmth, hospitality, and growth, and we pray that your experience at HAB is a meaningful one!
Dress and attire at HAB is often as diverse as our expressions of faith! In the Gathering worship experience at 8:45 a.m., many people are comfortable wearing casual slacks, a dress shirt, and an occasional sport coat (or another type of dressy-casual outfit). Many others however feel equally comfortable in jeans and sneakers! During the 11 a.m. worship experience, many people feel comfortable wearing a dress, a skirt, or a suit, depending on your mood and taste for the day. Although we don't by any means have a "dress code," the Gathering is a little more casual in dress and style, whereas the 11 a.m. worship experience has a richer legacy in traditional Sunday morning dress and style.
The truth is, at HAB each person wears what she or he chooses to wear, in the knowledge that the reality of God is discovered on the inside of a person, not on the outside. We hope that you find this to be true, as you discover that HAB is truly...
A Place of Grace.
